Jennie Lombardo's Obituary
Jennie (Paratore) Lombardo, 83, of East Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and was employed with Dey Brothers for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. Jennie was a member of Holy Trinity Altar Rosary Society and a volunteer with the Red Cross for many years. She loved knitting, crafts and was an avid reader. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mary Paratore, her sister, Rose Catts and her baby brother. Jennie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Cosmo Lombardo; two daughters, Mary Cay (Mark) Phelps of Liverpool and Roseanne (Jim) Hearn of Syracuse; a grandson, Daniel (Annie) Phelps of Tennessee; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 8:00 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4 to 7 PM.
