Jennie C. Peconi's Obituary
Jennie C. (Fiumara) Peconi, 85, of East Syracuse, passed away Sunday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and was employed with Julius Resnick Pocketbook Factory and also Armour Meat Packing Company. Jennie was an avid Bocce player and a member of the Syracuse Bocce Club. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carol A. Duda. Jennie is survived by her loving husband of over 56 years, Peter M. Peconi; her daughter, Lisa M. Boothe of East Syracuse; three grandchildren, Amy Smith of CT, Joshua Duda of Memphis, NY and Alisha Boothe of Syracuse; three great-grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Zachary Smith and Brooke Hamn; three sisters, Lucy Copani of Syracuse, Carmella Gugliotto of Central Square and her twin sister, Antoinette Pellizzeri of GA along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am in St. Matthew's Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088 or Aurora of CNY, 518 James Street, Syracuse, NY 13203.
