Jennifer Wu Zirilli's Obituary
Jennifer Wu Zirilli, 57, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 25, 2025. She was born in Hualien, Taiwan, daughter of Rong Xi Chen and Hua Huang. She was a member of the Shie Jih Temple in Flushing, New York.
Jennifer enjoyed going out for dinners, visiting wineries and museums in the Finger Lakes area where she would often meet the kindest and most loving friends. She Loved to Invite friends over to the house for a fun time playing Pool or a fireside gathering on the patio.
Whether traveling to the top of Mauna Kea in Hawaii, beaches in South Florida or visiting Cities and Towns in Italy she always shaped lasting memories wherever she would go. When in Taiwan or Japan she loved to be with family and friends bringing her high-energy, wonderful humor and smile to make every event a fun experience.
She was predeceased by her brother in Taiwan, Ming Xio Chen; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Zirilli and Joseph Zirilli (Frances Zirilli), and sister-in-law, Rosemary Kurpiewski (Joseph Kurpiewski).
Jennifer is survived by her husband of 8 years, Anthony “Tony” Zirilli; stepchildren; three sisters, two living in Taiwan, Hsiu Chu Chen and Shiu Chu Chen and one sister living in Japan, Reiko Hatsuda (Hsiu Li Chen) (husband: Ikuo Hatsuda); two brothers living in Taiwan, Ming Shun Chen and Ming Yan Chen (adopted name Ming Yan Wu) and one brother who is deceased, Ming Xio Chen; sisters-in-law, Elaine Zirilli and Frances Zirilli (Joseph Zirilli), and brother-in-law, Joesph Kurpiewski (Rosemary Zirilli), along with her beloved dog, little Rose.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 9 am – 11 am, immediately followed by a religious ceremony from 11 am – 12 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
