Jerilynn J. Colella's Obituary
Jerilynn (Havens) Colella, 64, of Fulton, NY, passed away suddenly on July 31, 2018. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia and moved to Rochester, NY with her family as a child where she grew up and attended Wayne Central High School. Jerilynn graduated from St. John Fisher College, and worked as an accountant, retiring in 2011. She was well known for her passion for raising and handling Irish Setters and was a member of the Irish Setter Club of America. Jerilynn loved to cook, and her grandchildren were the joys of her life and always made her smile. They often referred to her as Grandma Jeri Berry!
She was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Jean (Whittenberg)Havens.
Jerilynn is survived by her husband of 38 years, Sam Colella; her daughter, Rachel (Robert) Squire; three grandchildren, Samuel, Jacob and Madelyn; sisters, Jodi (Tom) Rieflin, Lani Verzillo and Lisa Foggett; her brother, Jeff Havens; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 9:45 am – 11:45 am immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Jeri’s life at 12:00 PM at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jeri’s name to Arc of Onondaga Foundation, 600 S. Wilbur Ave., Syracuse, NY 13204.
