Jerome C. "Jerry" Trichilo's Obituary
Jerome C. “Jerry” Trichilo, 92, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. A life resident of Syracuse, Jerome was born the son of the late Cosimo and Vincenza (Gatto) Trichilo. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and while serving, was a purple heart recipient. After serving his country, Jerry worked over 30 dedicated years for Midstate Wholesale as a shipping clerk. He was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church for over 50 years and was involved and volunteered for numerous church functions. Jerry was a member of the John Venditti Post, where he served as Commander for many years. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and friends.
Along with his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Lena (Fiorenza) Trichilo; his great granddaughter, Emily Culotti; his brother, Vincent, and his sisters, Antoinette, and Anne.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Cindy (Dan) Hoosock, and Marie (Joe) Kuberski; his son, Cosmo (Micki); four grandchildren, Michael (Cait), Danielle (Ethan), Alexis, and Anthony; six great grandchildren, Avery, Evelyn, Nicole, Oliver, Gabriel, and Samuel, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A calling hour will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 8:45AM – 9:45AM at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court Street, Syracuse, NY, with a funeral Mass in celebration of Jerry’s life to follow at 10:00 AM. Jerry will be laid to rest beside his wife Lena at Assumption Cemetery.
