Jilda E. Fusco's Obituary
Jilda E. Fusco, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Carmen and Angela Fusco. Jilda retired from the Onondaga County Department of Social Services. She was a member of St. Jude Society and was also an active member of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church.
She was predeceased by her son, John Fida and brothers, John and Francis Fusco. Jilda is survived by her daughter, Donna (Walter) Wisniewski of Cicero and her son, James C. Fida of Syracuse; five grandchildren, Christine, Daniel, Walter, Christopher and Alysia; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Parker and Ava; a sister, Margaret Hathaway of Syracuse; a brother, Michael Fusco of Mattydale along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Jilda's life will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
