Joan M. Kirkby's Obituary
Joan M. (Guido) Kirkby, 74, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Michael J. and Veronica J. (Flera) Guido. She was also predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Kirkby in 1973.
Joan faced many struggles in her life yet was always able to provide strength and comfort to others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always able to make a witty remark to bring others to smile or laugh. She made friends easily; her sister forever remained one of her closest. Her greatest achievement and devotion was to her family of 4 children and granddaughter, whom she loved above all else
Joan is survived by two sons, Michael Kirkby and Robert Kirkby; two daughters, Kristine Kirkby and Karen Kirkby; granddaughter, Mikala Kirkby; her sister, Diane (Peter) Peters, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
