Joan (McArdle) Stevens' Obituary
Joan (McArdle) Stevens, 93, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Loretto Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse and was a Director of Religious Education at St. John the Baptist and then worked as an Aide at St. Francis Adult Day Care Services.
She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Stevens in 1987.
Joan is survived by her two daughters, Anne (Frank) Bucci of NC and Brigid Vercillo of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Bucci, Nicholas (Tabitha) Bucci and Dallas Vercillo; four great-grandchildren, Tia, Garrett, Farrah and Savannah, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service in celebration of Joan’s life will be conducted at noon on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery at a later date. A calling hour for family and friends will be held from 11 am – 12 pm (noon) on Saturday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
