Joanne M. (Raynor) Cavalty's Obituary
Joanne M. (Raynor) Cavalty, 84, of Syracuse, passed away February 14, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late George and Margaret (Miller) Raynor. Joanne was employed in the medical billing department with Blue Cross Blue Shield. She enjoyed fishing, darts, crocheting and going to the casino 2 days a week.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Cavalty in 2007; one grandson; two brothers, and four sisters.
Joanne is survived by four children, Karen Sweet of Watertown, Theresa Cavalty, Joseph A. Cavalty, Jr. and Michael Cavalty, all of Syracuse; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Georgianna Anchitikites; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Joanne’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
