Joanne S. (Rohde) Mento's Obituary
Joanne S. (Rohde) Mento, 82, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Stanley and Sylvia (Hemmer) Rohde. Joanne graduated from North High School and went on to work at Onondaga Savings Bank and then co-owned and operated Mento’s Produce with her husband Frank. She enjoyed golfing, playing Tennis and listening to Fox News. Joanne loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for family and friends, making sure everyone left her home with a full belly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Mento in 2008.
Joanne is survived by her five children, Lesa (Robert) Dolan, Fred (Lisa) Mento, Jeff (Danelle) Mento, Nancy (Pete) Capponi, and Frank (Karen) Mento; 11 grandchildren, TJ (Joy) Mento, Tarryn (Brad) Racino, Robert, Mitchell, and Ben Dolan, Makenzi, Frank, and Tanner Mento, Paige, Peter, and Joe Capponi.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Joanne’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool.
