Joanne (Farnett) Patrie's Obituary
Joanne (Farnett) Patrie, 75, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Francis House on Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was born in Syracuse on August 10, 1941 to Francis and Josephine (Lee) Farnett. Joanne attended St. Anthony’s School in Syracuse and graduated from Onondaga Central High School in 1959. She met her husband, David Patrie, Sr. while working at Edward’s Department Store in Syracuse and they married on March 1, 1969.
Joanne raised three children and retired from Community General Hospital in 2010 after 26 years of service. After retirement, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Carmel (Farnett) Kenyon.
Joanne is survived by her husband, David Patrie; her children, David (Amanda Breen), Michelle Peters (Daniel), and Daniel (Shannon); her grandchildren, Bruce, Shawn, Matthew, Colleen, Michael and Camden; her sister, Frances, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Joanne’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at St. James Church, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
