John W. Ayers' Obituary
John W. Ayers, 76, of Liverpool, passed away on Easter Sunday with his loving wife, Stacey by his side. John was born in Rochester, NY, son of the late Vincent and Helen (Fairthorne) Ayers and served in the U.S. Air Force after high school. He was a dedicated employee at Eastman Kodak in Rochester for many years before retiring in 1992. John enjoyed baseball and was scorekeeper for the Hilton High School varsity baseball team. He also served as scorekeeper for the American Legion National baseball staff at the northeast regional tournaments. John enjoyed traveling with his wife.
He was predeceased by a son, Daniel in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Stacey (Lissow) Ayers; two brothers, Robert (Magdalene) Ayers of Texas and Steven (Patricia) Ayers of Hilton, NY; his sister, Marilyn Bryant (Bob Carpenter) of Bliss, NY; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle in Liverpool. Interment will be private on May 4th in Hilton, NY. Friends and family may call on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
