John Douglas "Doug" Baird Jr.'s Obituary
John Douglas “Doug” Baird, Jr., 78, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on November 19, 2021 at Crouse Hospital after a brief illness. He was surrounded by family and is now at peace with the Lord. Doug was born in Bridgeport, CT to John Douglas, Sr. and Katherine Marie (Perssico) Baird. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and street rod enthusiast. Doug enjoyed hanging out in his garage, listening to oldies music and tinkering with his cars and toys. However, he was happiest while spending time with family and friends.
Doug is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pauline Ann (Dardeno) Baird; his four children, Elizabeth, Andrea, John Douglas III (Shannon) and Michael (Celine) Baird; five grandchildren, John Douglas IV, Levi, Ezra, Michael Jr. and AJ Baird; two brothers, Keith and Roderick (Karen) Baird; along with several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and his sister-in-law, Sally Baird.
There will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held in the spring.
