John W. Begay's Obituary
John W. Begay, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. John was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII, earning the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon, a Victory Medal, and a Purple Heart. In 1994, John was also honored with the NYS Conspicuous Service Cross. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after many years as a mail handler.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Begay and his wife, Genevieve (Davoli) Begay in 2005.
John is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held on Friday, August 8, 2014. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME handled local arrangements.
