John T. Capolongo's Obituary
John T. Capolongo, 79, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 11, 2018. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Frank and Rosalia (Grillo) Capolongo. John retired as an Inspector from Rollway Bearing after many years of dedicated service. After retirement, John volunteered much of his time at Van Duyn as well as ministering at the Public Safety Building teaching the Lord’s word, “The Bible”.
He was predeceased by his brother, Frederick Capolongo and two sisters-in-law, both named Barbara Capolongo.
John is survived by his sister, Rosemary (Frank) Bovalino; his brother, James Capolongo, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
