John I. Cox's Obituary
John I Cox passed away peacefully on Thursday May 4, 2017. He was the son of Lorin G. Cox and Marion G. Pope. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and later worked for over 30 years for the U.S. Army Department of Defense as a Colonel serving as Director of Logistics. He was an avid Syracuse University sports fan. John enjoyed golfing, boating and especially spending time with family and friends.
John was predeceased by his brother George, sister, Marilyn Rich, and former wives; Nancy (Moreland) Vinette, and Bonnie (Souiler) Cox. Survived by three sons; Loren, Paul, and John, and a daughter, Vera Lyn Dipietro and a sister, Lee Keiber, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Per John’s request there will be no funeral services.
