My condolences to the Crumb family, I had the privilege of working with Crummy and really to call it work with John around is a bit of a stretch, a lot of laughs and of course his card playing skills were legendary he bought more guys lunch than meals on wheels.Also he always corrected me on my family tree like no bill that's your sister in laws brother not you brother in law. lol also he had all the expressions down my favorite "it's not how you get into trouble that matters it's how you get out that counts" and "if you don't expect too much you won't be disappointed"or "in a battle of whit's you came unarmed" well i know when i think of Crummy it will always put a smile on my face, rest easy john steamfitter local#818

My sincere condolences go out to you and all of your Famliy on John's passing. Working at the county with him for all of his 20 years was unreal. You never knew what came next with him and thats what you had to like about him. But, if you needed something he was the go to at the steam station and he was always there for you.
I remember coming to the house a few times to see him before I left Syracuse and he said for me to be a good guy. Rest In Peace My Friend John and may God Bless You and your Family.
