John G. DenHaese's Obituary
John Gustave DenHaese, 69, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Born in Canastota to the late Agnes A. (Olech) and Adolph G. DenHaese, John received his bachelor's degree Le Moyne College and went on to become a self-employed newspaper distributor, primarily distributing the Syracuse Post-Standard, for many years. John loved nature, he was an avid gardener, and he enjoyed visiting aquariums and being around animals. He also enjoyed sports, playing lacrosse and football, and he had a passion for soccer. John was an avid reader, he enjoyed listening to music, especially the oldies, he was a lover of trains, and he enjoyed a good barbeque.
Along with his parents, John was predeceased by his siblings, George A., and Delores DenHaese; and his pets, Jake, and Nikki.
John is survived by his son, John A. DenHaese; daughter, Erin C. (Antonio) Gallelli; granddaughter, Gianna Gallelli; nephews, Greg (Maureen), Jason (Charlene), Ryan (Diane) DenHaese; many great nieces and nephews; special friends, Dominick Pagano, and Pat Santulli; as well as his former spouse and mother of his children, Charleen Insalaco.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Epiphany Parish – St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip St. Liverpool, immediately followed by a funeral mass in celebration of John’s life at 10:30 AM.
