John C. DiMura's Obituary
"Little " John C. DiMura, age 77. passed away Friday in the Upstate Medical Center. A native of Middlesex, New Jersey, he resided in Syracuse for the past 70 years, and had served with the United States Marine Corp. John and his wife Sharon owned and operated Arrowhead Archery Lane & Sport Center Inc. in East Syracuse. John was a certified Professional Archer. He developed the first 50% "Let Off" bow and it was named after him as" The Little John". John was instrumental in achieving the ability to bow hunt for the physically disabled. He designed many rigs for the disabled and was a quadriplegic well known for his hunting and fishing abilities.
Surviving are his wife Sharon "Sherry" (Lucas) DiMura, a brother Thomas (Kathy) DiMura, a sister Connie Fiorini of Syracuse 2 sisters-in-law: Donna DiMura, and June Christopher, both of Syracuse, several nieces, nephews and cousins. John was a participant in the Anatomical Gift Program. Contributions may be made to the Archery Hall of Fame Museum in care of Diane Miller 58 N.
