John K. "Jack" Dungey II's Obituary
John K. “Jack” Dungey II, 69, of Clay, NY, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the VA Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late John K. and Dorothy (Newbury) Dungey. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Crucible Steel after 24 dedicated years. Jack was an avid NY Giants fan, and enjoyed classic cars. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Anne (Angrick) Dungey; five children, Amy Dungey, Stacy (Timothy) Atwater, John (Aimee) Dungey, Christine (Scott) Seymour, and Kenneth Dungey; four grandchildren, Ashley, Alicia, Chelsea, and Tyler; three sisters, Betty (Tom) Cadden, Judy Spaulding, and Mary (Mike) Sims; one brother, William (Nealie) Dungey; many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Jack’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
