John P. Fenocchi's Obituary
John Peter Fenocchi, 60, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023 with his loving sisters, Mary Beth and Debbie by his side. John was born in New Hartford, NY to Julio and Grace Fenocchi, dedicated and loving parents who ensured that John lived his life to the fullest.
He traveled to Italy for 20 years, went to many cities in Europe and loved going on cruises and trips with his family and friends. John’s favorite part of traveling was trying ice cream (“gelato”) in the countries he visited.
John attended Utica Public Schools and graduated from The Devillo Sloan School in Syracuse, NY. He worked at Green Hills Farms, Niagara Mohawk and Syracuse University. John enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and won medals in bowling and track.
He was predeceased by his parents. John will be remembered for his smile, sense of humor and loving, friendly personality. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, cousins and friends, near and far.
Sincere thanks to the staff at Clover Ridge where John has been living, to those that cared for him at Valentine Garden Apartments and Spaulding House and to the nursing staff at Crouse who cared for him in his final days.
A Funeral Mass and celebration of John’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
