John N. Fiore's Obituary
John N. Fiore, 57, of Clay, NY, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in Scranton, PA from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Syracuse and served in the US Army for 3 years. John worked for the NYS DOT for 25 years. He was a coach for Cicero Falcons Football for 7 years. John spent Thursdays and Fridays frequenting Frank’s Plank Road Cafe. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan, and also enjoyed watching and attending heavyweight boxing. John enjoyed riding his harley and boating, and loved being on the water. He also loved traveling and looked forward to yearly vacations with friends, and spending time with family and his beloved dog, Sandy.
He was predeceased by his mother, Jeanette (Laviviere) Fiore and his sister, Lorrie Ann Fiore.
John is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Roxanna (Carapella) Fiore; his son, Niko Fiore of Clay; his daughter, Dominique Fiore (John Sauta) of Clay; his father, Dominick Fiore of Syracuse; three brothers, Richard Fiore and Joseph Fiore, both of Syracuse, and David Fiore of Marcellus; his sister, Tina Sanford of Syracuse; brothers and sisters-in-law; Tony (Karen) Carapella, Christina (Ed) Krolik, Teresa (Dan) Moffat, Frank (Lisa) Carapella, and Victoria Louise (Richard Kelly); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his very close friends, Terry and Vicki Chilbert, James and Carol Taylor, John and Jodee Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 AM on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 9:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
