John H. Fitzgerald's Obituary
John H. Fitzgerald, 20, of North Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. He was born in Syracuse and was a student of Cicero-North Syracuse High School. John dedicated his life to his son and was a wonderful father, loving son and brother. He enjoyed fishing with his father and was very athletic. John loved watching the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and New England Patriots, a true Boston fan, just like his Gram. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends and liked to experiment with different recipes. John loved the beach and spent many summers at his family cottage in Seabrook, NH.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Wilbert E. Howard.
John is survived by his loving girlfriend, Kaylie LaFlair of N. Syracuse; their son, John James Fitzgerald; his father, John D. Fitzgerald of Liverpool, his mother, Monica Fitzgerald of Syracuse; his sister, Donna Marie Fitzgerald of N. Syracuse; paternal grandparents, John (Donna) Fitzgerald of N. Syracuse; maternal grandmother, Rose Marie Johnson of Albany, Oregon; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral mass in celebration of John’s life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero. Calling hours for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s name may be made for his son, John James Fitzgerald Fund, 7508 Woodstream Terrace, N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
