John Gidari's Obituary
John Gidari, 68, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, at St. Camillus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Syracuse to the late Samuel and Fannie (Canino) Gidari, he loved Elvis Presley, country music, The Great NYS Fair, Syracuse University sports, the Buffalo Bills, and spending time at Kasoag Lake with his family and friends.
Along with his parents, John is predeceased by several loving aunts and uncles, especially his Uncle Al.
John is survived by his sisters, Stephanie (James Stack) O’Neill and Toni (Jeff) Rogers, his nieces, Michelle Delwiche and Danielle Gasparini; his nephew, Ryan McFadden; several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; and his favorite aunt, Fortunata.
John’s sisters and family would like to thank the staff at St. Camillus, for their loving care and compassion.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. – 12:45 P.M., at St. Patrick’s/St. Brigid’s Church, 216 Lowell Ave., Syracuse, NY, immediately followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 1:00 P.M. at the church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Camillus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 813 Fay Rd. Syracuse, NY 13219.
