John E. Guyder, Sr.'s Obituary
John E. Guyder, Sr., 86, of North Syracuse, passed away October 8, 2021 at Loretto Nursing Home. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Faatz) Guyder. John was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran and graduated from Iowa State University. He retired from A.C. Neilson Company after 50 years of dedicated service. John enjoyed golfing, bowling and watching the NY Yankees. He also loved to watch gun smoke and loved his scratch off tickets.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Pamela Guyder in 2018; two sons, John Guyder, Jr. and Matthew Guyder; and a brother, Charles Guyder.
John is survived by his son, Charles Guyder; his daughter, Kim (Richard) Pichura; his granddaughter, Taylor Ponticello; his great granddaughter, Ivy Lee Galton; siblings, Joe (Martha) Guyder, Tom (Mary) Guyder, Elaine Reid and Beverly (Bill) Volz, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 10 am – 12 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of John’s life at noon at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
