John P. Kelley's Obituary
John P. Kelley, 69, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, the son of Robert and Rose (Barnello) Kelley. John was employed with New Process Gear for 30 years and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was an avid Yankee fan as well as a fan of SU sports and the Cleveland Browns. John was a member of the American Legion Pulaski Post 1650.
John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he cherished.
John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Valentina (Wolowik) Kelley; 2 sons, Brian (Laura) Kelley of Jamesville and Sean (Shonagh) Kelley of Liverpool; 3 grandchildren, Eliza, Patrick and Dillen Kelley; a brother, Robert (Lori) Kelley; 2 sisters, Doreen (John) Van Buren and Kathy (Matt) Yaworsky.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 10:00 am in Christ the King Church. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
