John Bruno Lembo's Obituary
John Bruno Lembo, 79, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Van Duyn Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Syracuse to the late Donato and Carmella (Scordo) Lembo and was a U.S. Army veteran. John was a fabricator for Carrier Corp. for many years. He was an avid SU basketball and NY Yankees fan and loved watching his grandchildren grow up and play sports.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Assunta in 2018 and his son, Donato Lembo in 2017.
John is survived by his daughter, Lucia “Toni” Lembo; his grandchildren, Alicia (Adam) Richardson, Joe Baron, and Mike (Alexis) Baron; his great-grandson, Caleb Richardson; his siblings, Pete (Dolores) Lembo, Dan Lembo, and Anna Galer; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. (noon) immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of John’s life at 12:00 P.M. (noon) at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
