John More's Obituary
John More, 107, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at James Square. He was born in Monopoli, Bari, Italy and came to Syracuse at age 17. John owned and operated a barber shop, More's Restaurant and later owned and operated the Sedgwick Liquor Store from which he retired. He was a life time member of the Lincoln Republican Club and a member of the Fourth Ward Republican Club. John was also a member of the Central NY Retail Liquor Dealers Association. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Angeline (Simiele) More; four brothers and one sister. John is survived by his daughters, Theresa More, Antoinette Mallaro and Jean (Floyd) Pallone; his son, Jack (Catherine) More; five grandchildren, Steven, John, Jodie, Lynda and Lynn; four great-grandchildren, Katherine, John V., Carolyn and Emily; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial were private. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME handled all local arrangements.
