John F. Mulcahy's Obituary
Loving husband, father and grandfather John Mulcahy passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 95. Born in Syracuse, NY on January 26, 1931, to John and Veronica Mulcahy, he lived a life devoted to family, faith and community.
John received his education at Christian Brothers Academy and Le Moyne College. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe. John retired from Aetna Insurance.
John loved music, playing the piano and singing in the Liverpool Community Chorus. He enjoyed golfing with friends, coaching his sons and cheering on the Syracuse Orange.
He volunteered his time, largely in the greater Liverpool community where he made his home for 60 years.
John was a devoted parishioner at Christ the King Church in Bayberry, where he was a lector and taught religious education.
He was predeceased by his brother Lawrence Mulcahy.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa (McIntyre) Mulcahy; sons: John Mulcahy; Timothy Mulcahy and his wife Kristen; Matthew Mulcahy and his wife Jamie Pomilio-Mulcahy. Also, grandchildren Rachel Mulcahy-Sandford and Jared Mulcahy.
The family will hold calling hours Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. A funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Church in Bayberry on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.
