John M. "Jack" Plony, Jr.'s Obituary
John M. “Jack” Plony, Jr., 98, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Menorah Park. He was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of North High School. Jack served in the US Army during WWII. He was the owner and operator of both Plony’s and Anco Plumbing and Heating Supplies for 48 years. Jack retired at age 76 in 1993. He was a member of Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club and Deerfield Beach Country Club in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
He was predeceased by his wife of 71years, Jean Plony in 2013; his daughter, Nancy L. Gutermuth and his sister, Rita Cicci.
Jack is survived by his son, John M. (Doreen) Plony III of Camillus; his daughter, Barbara Pasternak of Liverpool; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his sister, Margarite Covino.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Jack’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Holy Family Church. Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME is handling funeral arrangements.
