John F. Rauch's Obituary
John F. Rauch, 91, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on August 31, 2022. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Leonard and Theresia (Gass) Rauch. John was a U.S. Navy veteran and graduated from Auburn Community College. He retired from Crouse Hinds/Cooper Industries after many dedicated years. John enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his sister, Rita Johnson and brother, Leonard Rauch.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marie (Vallar) Rauch; two sons, Leonard (Joanne) Rauch and Peter (Katie) Rauch; two grandchildren, Jack and Danielle Rauch, along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass in celebration of John’s life will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Transfiguration Church, 740 Teall Ave., Syracuse, NY. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
