John J. Sansone's Obituary
John J. Sansone, 85, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Tuesday surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Giovanni A. and Gerloma (Palmisano) Sansone. John was an employee of Niagara Mohawk where he proudly retired from after 32 years. He was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. John had a lifelong love for music. He often showed off his talents in the 1950's as a trumpet musician in a local band. This love continued throughout his life as he would happily sing to anyone he knew. John also loved watching sports and was an avid SU fan along with following the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Browns.
He was predeceased by his wife, Emily (Falcone) Sansone; brothers, August, Jack and Andrew; sisters, Anna Vutera, Josephine Pagano and Mary Catalano. John is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (James) Quatrone and Geraldine Rhodes; two sons, John (Christine) Sansone and Andrew (Vibeke) Sansone; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, Mia, Alex, Samuel, Emily and Giovanni; sister, Geraldine Lembo; two sisters-in-law, Genevieve and Cecilia Sansone along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
