John Leo Savino's Obituary
John Leo Savino, 89, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at James Square Nursing Home on Monday, December 8, 2014. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Josephine (Vaccaro) and Peter Savino. John was a wonderful brother and brother-in-law, and an especially amazing uncle and great-uncle. He was a blessing and a gift in his family’s lives. Just seeing his smile brightened our whole day. John loved to play cards, teach his niece’s sign language and everyday he would take the bus downtown. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
John is survived by his brother, Daniel (Antoinette) Savino; his three nieces, Cindy Donati, Cheryl Savino, and Lori (Jim) Falk; four grand-nieces and one grand-nephew.
A private funeral service in celebration of John’s life will be held at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME at a later date.
