John Francis Scutier's Obituary
John Francis Scutier, 94, of Liverpool, passed away at home on December 24, 2021 with his wife by his side. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Frank and Julia (Fabrizio) Scutier. John was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII. He worked at Carrier Corp. for 35 years and was also a carpenter. John enjoyed boxing and baseball.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by two sisters, Barbara and Theresa, and a brother, Frank, Jr.
John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Lou (Presley) Scutier; his ever-loving companion, his dog Bubba; children, Maryanne (David) Knight, Patricia Scutier, Becky Parsons and Gerod Chuff; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ian) Bastek, Melissa (Brian) Goodwin, and Brenton (Molly) Knight; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A prayer service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery, Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
