John M. Sinnett's Obituary
John M. Sinnett, 82, passed away at home on Wednesday after a long illness. He was born in Baldwinsville on September 19, 1933, the son of the late Matthew and Mary Louise (Kane) Sinnett. John was united in marriage to Joan Cesta on August 25, 1956 in Syracuse. He attended Lemoyne College. John prided himself on working in the contract furniture industry for over 55 years.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Flammer and Rosemary Nesbitt.
John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan (Cesta) Sinnett; his children, John Sinnett of Houston, TX, Christina (Ray) Alsdorf of Tulsa, OK, Michael Sinnett of Winston-Salem, NC, Mark (Merrette) Sinnett of Peekskill, NY, and David (Juli) Sinnett of Medfield, MA; eight grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 12:10 pm in St. Daniel’s Church. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Monday from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Daniel’s Church or Hospice of CNY.
