John P. Testone's Obituary
John Peter Testone, 87 years of age, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2022, at St. Camillus Residential Health Care Facility. John was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Cichello) Testone. John was a graduate of North High School and Powelson Business Institute. He worked at LeMoyne College, Xerox Corporation, General Electric Company and retired from the U.S. Post Office Service. He also served in the Army National Guard. John was a die-heart Yankee fan and spent many days at Yankee stadium.
John was a proud and active member of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Pompei Church. He was also an active member at the IAAC Club (The Italian American Athletic Club), playing cards, golf, bocci and many other activities.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his loving wife, Lucille (DeRosa) Testone and sister, Molly (Daniel) Emmi.
John is survived by his sister, Pauline (Dominick) Pensabene; brothers, Samuel (Alice) Testone, Vito (Pamela) Testone; brother-in-law, John Maselli and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all St. Camillus Medical Professionals and caregivers for their exceptional care and compassion received during his stay.
A funeral mass will be held on July 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Daniels Catholic Church, 3004 Court Street, Syracuse, NY. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to “Clear Path for Veterans,” 1223 Salt Springs Road, Chittenango, NY, 13037.
