John H. Wise's Obituary
John H. “Johnny” Wise, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Syracuse to the late Maynard and Gladys (Morgan) Wise. John worked at Assumption Cemetery and volunteered for over 30 years at the Lafayette Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Cub Scout Leader and an avid Yankee and Syracuse Orange fan.
Along with his parents, John is predeceased by his 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 63 years, Mary Ann (Banack) Wise; children, Nancy (Craig) Capps, John A. (Michelle) Wise and Martin (Heidi) Wise; grandchildren, John M. Wise, Richard Wise, Ashley Hall, Nikki Wise, Aleshia Sequin, John-John Wise, Abby Liedka, Michael York and Treniss Capps; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Babcock; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
