Joseph M. Bisesi's Obituary
Joseph M Bisesi, 94, of North Syracuse, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 of kidney failure. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Salvatore and Anna (Russo) Bisesi. Joseph resided most of his life in the home he built in North Syracuse. He was an accomplished cement mason for over 30 years and served on the executive board of Local 519. Joseph was a charter member of Greenview Country Club, a member of the Sylvester Athletic Club, and participated in many bowling leagues. He was a founding father of the North Syracuse Babe Ruth League, was a member of the 10/40 Club, Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Joseph loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and especially loved clambakes with his family as well as Sunday dinners.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Rose M. (Indivero) Bisesi; his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. and JoEllen Bisesi, Jr., his brother, Samuel S. Bisesi, along with his parents and four sisters.
Joseph is survived by his son, Samuel A. (Joanne) Bisesi of Cicero; two daughters, Annemarie (Michael) Trait of Clay and Rosanne (Christopher) Didio of Cicero; nephew, Fred (Jeanne) Intondi of Cicero; grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud, Brian (Leslie) Bisesi, Tricia (Eric) Manning, Laurie (Steve) Lutes, Bryna Bisesi, Karen (Donald) O’Malley, Gina Bisesi (Chris), Joseph Bisesi III, Danielle, Matthew LaPaglia, and Nicole (Shawn) Halloran, nine great-grandchildren; his companion, Alice Merriman and her children; two brothers, James Bisesi and John Ungaro, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Joseph’s life at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 -7:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
