Joseph F. "Joe" Caccamo's Obituary
Joseph Frederick “Joe” Caccamo, 85, of Virginia, passed away August 8, 2022. He was born on November 25, 1936, in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Thomas Caccamo and Frances (Vicari) Caccamo.
Joseph was united in holy matrimony to Ann (Delia) Caccamo on September 12, 1959, at Our Lady of Pompei Catholic Church in Syracuse, NY. Together, they were blessed with four beautiful children.
Family was the most important thing to Joe. Whether it was family gatherings with our big Italian crew in New York or our immediate family in Virginia, you could always count on him to be there, ready to crack a joke at any time and lend a hand. His biggest joy in life besides his kids was his grandchildren. He loved nothing more than to be with them. He was a man of many talents. After serving in the Army for 2 years, he worked most of his life in different trades. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build, paint or fix. In his spare time, he loved to golf with family and friends or cheer on his beloved Yankees!
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann (Delia) Caccamo; his daughter, Carey Caccamo; brother, Thomas Caccamo; sisters, Theresa Sofia, Roseanne Gardner, and Marie Tassone, and brother-in-law, John Delia.
Joe is survived by his brothers, Frederick Caccamo and Thomas Caccamo, Jr. (Maryann); brother-in-law, Frank Delia (Connie); his daughters, Franny Beebe (Andreas) and Mary Ann Nesbit (John); his son, Joseph Caccamo, Jr. (Kelly); granddaughters, Ashley Corum, Katie Beebe, Madison Beebe, Eden Nesbit, and Cassidy Caccamo; grandsons, Connor Beebe (Ann), Brennan Beebe, and Cameron Beebe; great-granddaughters, Kailee and Kaylin Allenjohns, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 9:45 – 10:45 am at Epiphany Parish at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Joseph’s life at 11:00 am at the church. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
