Joseph J. Chiarizia's Obituary
Joseph J. Chiarizia, 73, of Cicero, NY, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Joseph and Julia (Albanese) Chiarizia. Joseph was the CEO of Josall Syracuse Inc. He enjoyed golfing and loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Rose Marie Hojnacki.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Jean (Robbins) Chiarizia; his daughter, Christine (Jeff) DiOrio; his son, Brian (Lainey) Chiarizia; four grandchildren, Gabriella and Grace DiOrio, Emily and Samantha Chiarizia; two brothers, Anthony and Richard Chiarizia; his sister, Julie Woodson, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY. Joseph will be laid to rest privately in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
