Joseph Anthony "Joey" Cimino's Obituary
Joseph Anthony “Joey” Cimino, 77, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025. He was born in Syracuse, graduated from Henninger High School, and dedicated his working life to fruits and vegetables. Joey took great pride in his produce brokerage business, building lasting relationships, and enjoyed sharing successes with his fellow employees. As a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, his faith in weekly Mass was always a priority. He enjoyed golfing, driving his cars, spending time with family and monthly dinners with close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Theresa (Salamino); and brother, Anthony Cimino.
Surviving are his sister, Kathy (James) Aiello; brother, Larry (Dana) Cimino; former wife of 44 years, Anita Cimino; children, Joseph B. (Tracy) Cimino, Benjamin (Christine) Cimino, Trisha (Thomas) Perry, and Marc (Meghan) Cimino; grandchildren, Anthony, Ava, Nicholas, Martin, Leah, Dylan, Harlow, Leo, and Theodore; beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 9:30 am – 11:30 am at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Joey’s life at 12:00 pm.
