Joseph C. Corrigan's Obituary
Joseph C. Corrigan, 86, formerly of Whitesboro, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday with his family by his side at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Utica and was a 1946 graduate of St. Francis De Sales High School. Joseph was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving in WWII and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the owner and operator of J. Corrigan Wholesale in Utica from 1973 to 1992. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jane Toukatly and his sisters, Phyllis Donovan and Beverly DeFino. Joseph is survived by his two sons, Bill (Valerie) Corrigan and John (Christi) Corrigan; a daughter, Maureen Corrigan; four grandchildren, Becky, Craig, Daniel and Jennifer; five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Emma, Alyssa and Brooke and his brother, William L. (Eleanor) Corrigan. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:30 pm with a funeral service to follow at 3:30 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to The American Cancer Society.
