Joseph N. DeMaio's Obituary
Joseph N. DeMaio, 73, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully, September 28th, at home with his loving wife and children by his side.
He is predeceased by his father, Andrew DeMaio; his mother, Mary (May) Cazzolla; step-fathers, Stanley Milzarek and Nicholas Cazzolla; his sister, RoseMarie DeMaio and brother, James Milzarek.
Surviving are his wife, Zofia (Jastrzab) DeMaio, of 52 years; three children, RoseMarie Corso, Michael (Wendy) DeMaio, and Tammy (David) Jenner; eight grandchildren, Alec, Paige, Christopher, Jay, Michael Jr, MiKayla, Brandon, and Gage; one great-grandson, Edward; brother, Anthony (Laurie) DeMaio; sister, Patricia Leonard (companion Ron Root); step-sister, Patricia Bove, and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was born and raised in Syracuse, NY where he graduated from North High School in 1962. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps immediately after high school. Joe was the owner of North Town Auto Sales on Rt 11 in North Syracuse and Movie Time Video in Baldwinsville.
Joe was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had touched the lives of so many and saved some lives that were in despair. Any individual would be fortunate to become half the person that Joe was. He had earned and gained the respect of many.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm - 7pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Joseph’s life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
