Joseph R. Falciatano's Obituary
Joseph R. Falciatano, 79, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Iroquois Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family on July 25, 2018. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Santangelo) Falciatano. Joseph retired from New Process Gear after 30+ years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football and NASCAR. Above all, Joseph enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Judith A. (Leet) Falciatano; two sons, Joseph R. (Dona) Falciatano, Jr. and Mark J. DeFuria; five daughters, Cherie (John) Siler, Debra Falciatano, Jamie A. (Robert) Leiss, Kristine F. DeFuria and Alexandra J. DeFuria; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his brother, Richard Falciatano; his sister, Joyce (Vincent) Scaravillo, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Joseph’s life will be held at 12:10 pm on Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Private burial will be held in Assumption Cemetery.
