Joseph R. Flaminio's Obituary
Joseph R. Flaminio, 86, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, December 14, 2018. He was born in Blairsville, PA on April 8, 1932, son of the late John and Ann (Bada) Flaminio.
After moving to Syracuse, Joe worked for 32 dedicated years at Niagara Mohawk. He was an avid Syracuse University sports fan. Above all, Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (Intaglietta) Flaminio. He is survived by his son, John (Anne) Flaminio; his daughter, Fran (Vince) Barry; four grandchildren, Joseph, Lisa, Vince, and Matt; three great-grandchildren, Sienna, Tessa, and Lorenzo; his sister, Angie; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Joseph’s life at 9:00 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday, December 17, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
