Joseph L. "Joe" Greco's Obituary
Joseph L. “Joe” Greco, 67, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2017 at Upstate University Hospital.
Joe leaves behind his caring housemates, peer groups, and care takers as well as cousins, Stephen Bodnar, George Scheftic (Karen Scheftic), Peter Scheftic (Kathy Scheftic), Christine Scheftic, Donna Chase (Ken Chase), Susan Proctor (John Proctor), and Melissa Bodnar. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Shirley Greco and a cousin, Tom Bodnar.
Joe was a charismatic and social guy who enjoyed charming the ladies. Joe survived well past the doctor’s expectations and lived a productive fulfilled life of work, travel and leisure. He took great care of his belongings and could often be seen sharing photos of his family and adventures to Australia and most recently a cruise to the Bahamas.
Joe enjoyed visiting casinos and collecting decks of cards and showing off his stamp collection to others.
Joe’s smile infected those around him and he was able to joke around with the best of them. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY at Noon on Wednesday July 12, 2017 followed by a burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt at 1:00 pm. A reception will be held at Joe’s home following the services from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
