Joseph "Jay" Imbesi's Obituary
Joseph P. (Jay) Imbesi, 68, of Liverpool, passed away on Saturday in University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. A self-employed hair stylist for over 40 years, he was owner/operator of The Headquarters. Jay enjoyed golfing with his friends, and was a member of Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club for 38 years. Most of all, he was a loving and devoted father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Jay is survived by his 3 children, Jeff (Kelly) Imbesi of Cicero, Jason (Elizabeth) Imbesi of Michigan and Megan (Matthew) Ramsey of Baldwinsville; 4 grandchildren, Haley Imbesi, Jenna Imbesi, Matix Ramsey and Domenica Ramsey; 2 brothers, Natale (Rosetta) Imbesi of Clay and Tino (Phyllis) Imbesi of Liverpool; 2 sisters, Carmella (Philip) Zanghi of Liverpool and Josephine (Richard) Riccardi of North Syracuse; his former wife, Denise Imbesi and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Wednesday in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and at 11:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM.
