Very sorry to learn that Joe has moved on to his next calling. I met Joe years ago, when Tony and I were pilots in the 174th Fighter Wing. Not only did Joe and I share a love of flying, but we were both pharmacists. When I retired from the ANG, Joe helped me return to pharmacy by offering me a chance to work in his store in Tully. I often ran into him at continuing education classes for pharmacists. Our last visit occurred when I made a spur of the moment stop to say “hello” at his office in Bayberry. He took time from his busy schedule to chat with me, and was as congenial and generous as always. I can see from similar comments on this site that Joe will continue to live on in the memories of many of us.

Charlene and I send our deep sympathy on your loss. Joe was everything mentioned in the obituary and so much more. I got to golf with him a few times and his one liners and banter were worth the small amount I lost :) He regaled me with stories about the airport at College Park, Maryland where my son was going to school and I marveled that he still kept his pharmacy license and was so up to date in that field while managing his real estate and other ventures. He truly was a modern day renaissance person, with humor, kindness and devotion to his family, heritage and of course the St. Louis Cardinals via his friendship with Stan the Man. His was a life well-lived. God bless.

I am so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. Although I haven't seen you two in years, I always remember his friendly smile and his willingness to help out any cause he was asked to help. My condolences to you and all of his family.
Sue.....so devastated to hear about Joe's passing......they don't come much better, he was warm, gentle, fun, always with a big smile.....and a funny line to follow.
