Joseph Knowles, Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph Knowles, Jr., 72, of Fort Myers, Fl., passed away on October 21, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, graduated from North Syracuse High School and attended OCC. Joseph served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Black Clawson in Fulton, NY after many dedicated years. He loved cooking, especially for family and friends; he also enjoyed working on cars and was equally talented in fixing and repairing anything and everything.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Knowles.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jacquelyn (Drumm) Knowles; two sons, Ben and Luis Knowles; two daughters, Tanya (Jeff) Gordon and Katie (Steve) Clement; his mother, Ellen Roach; nine grandchildren; five siblings: Kay Vanderwerff, Larry Knowles (Diana Hutchinson), Paula Reppi, Paul (Caroline) Roach, and Loretta (Larry) Larrabee; and his dogs, Rex, Roxy and Toby.
The void Joseph leaves behind is immeasurable and will be truly felt by those who loved him.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm, followed by a prayer service in celebration of Joseph’s life at 5:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
