Joseph "Joe" Lanzafame's Obituary
Joseph “Joe” Lanzafame, 56, of East Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Frank and Julia (Elwell) Lanzafame. Joe worked as a car salesman at Fuccillo Hyundai in Syracuse. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.
Besides his parents, he is also predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Ross, and James Lanzafame, and his half-sister, Kim Sutton.
Joe is survived by two sons, Joseph Lanzafame and David Lanzafame; his daughter, Melissa Lanzafame; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald and Robert Lanzafame; two sisters, Bonnie Gochanour and Jacqueline (Thomas) Mento, along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4 – 6:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Joe’s life at 6:30 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Private burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
